Horizon Maker Guerrilla Praises Profound Impact of Lance Reddick

Update: Guerrilla Games, the creator of the Horizon series, has released a tribute to actor Lance Reddick, following news his passing earlier this week. In the post, it thanks the star for bringing the character of Sylens to life, and goes on to praise him for his “generous warmth and inimitable presence”. The message adds that he had a “profound impact not just as part of our cast, but on our community”.

Bungie has already released a tribute, as Reddick starred as Commander Zavala in the Destiny games. “Lance Reddick was an iconic presence on screen, in Destiny, and most importantly, in person,” it wrote.

Original Article: Iconic actor Lance Reddick, best known for his roles in HBO’s The Wire and the John Wick movie franchise, has passed away. That’s according to TMZ, who say the star’s body was found at his Studio City home earlier today.

The 60-year-old may have made his name in television and films, but has also starred in a variety of huge video game franchises, including PlayStation exclusives Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West, as well as Destiny 2. Just last year he portrayed Albert Wesker in Netflix’s Resident Evil reimagining.

Reddick is almost certain to reprise his role as Sylens in next month’s Horizon Forbidden West expansion Burning Shores, as he was spotted doing motion capture work in a since deleted Instagram post late last year.

As recently as this week he was in the process of doing press for the latest John Wick movie, and had been scheduled to appear on the Kelly Clarkson Show in the coming days. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends.
