Wild Hearts is a game with a massive amount of features and things you can miss. Whether it be the crafting system, or even Wild Hearts’ signature Karakuri system, there’s a lot to unpack in Koei Tecmo and Omega Force’s take on Monster Hunter. One of the things you can miss relatively easily in Wild Hearts is the ability to have Pet Kemono and their items that they can drop. Among these items is the Pet Kemono Tail Feather, which can be a bit of a pain to get if you don’t know how to do it. Here’s our guide on how to get a Pet Kemono Tail Feather in Wild Hearts.

Where to get the Pet Kemono Tail Feather in Wild Hearts

The Pet Kemono Tail Feather is a relatively simple and painless item to get in Wild Hearts. The first step you’re going to need to do is to find yourself either a Lotuswing Swallow or a Grasswing Swallow. These are the types of Pet Kemono that can drop the Tail Feather.

Finding these birds will seem to be the real issue, but once you know where to look, you should be able to find them with relative ease. The Grasswing Swallow appears in Harugasami Way regularly, and you can find some reliably in the area shown in the map below.

Once you’ve found your birds, and we recommend grabbing a few. You’re going to need to put them inside of a Wildlife Cage Dragon Karakuri. You can unlock this by using the Karakuri upgrade screen of your menus. After doing that, you can relax, take up a hunt, literally anything you want, because the drops for the Pet Kemono Tail Feathers happen purely by killing time. After a while, return to your birdcage and you should see a drop waiting for you, and that should be the Pet Kemono Tail Feather.

Wild Hearts is available on Steam.
